My first proper go at Zbrush 4R5, a character test done in a couple of days. Had lots of fun with this. I havent really dived into polypainting & texturing before, I enjoyed this the most. I did encounter various problems along the way, namely with polygroups and I should have used Dynamesh instead of the regular clay. That created problems later, which could have been avoided. Overall happy with the final render. For the lighting I used an HDRI image of a forest to get precise lighting data and then experimented with it, until I got the result I was looking for.
Using Fibermesh was tortures on my laptop, took ages to render the fibers with BPR. I settled for a punk hairstyle and a little beard, to make the character more believable. Originally I was supposed to make him look cute and cuddly, but…what can I say, things happen half way through my thought process.
